The article considers the possibility of applying the mathematically correct criterion for the transition through zero of the Jacobian of the system of equations of the post-emergency regime in the problems of reliability of assessing the static stability of power systems during emergency shutdowns of main power lines.

A simple analytical model has been developed to predict the laser texturing regimes of various friction surfaces. Simple dependencies between the geometrical size of pores, energetic and temporal parameters of a laser beam, and thermal-physical properties of treated materials have been determined. The comparison between numerical estimations and experimental results shows good agreement.
